Researchers from Monash University and Monash Health are working on a number of medical equipment-related solutions to help minimise the spread of COVID-19 to health care workers and patients. Some items researchers are developing and testing include recreational snorkel masks and modified CPAP mask systems. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a worldwide shortage of medical equipment, leaving frontline workers exposed and vulnerable to contracting the virus.
